The CASPIAN HORSE SOCIETY'S 2002 Annual Breed Show will take place this year on SUNDAY, 14th JULY in front of RAGLEY HALL, ALCESTER, WARWICKSHIRE, home of the Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford. Along with many others, last year's show fell victim to Foot and Mouth, so this will be the first opportunity for two years to see a gathering of these still rare Caspian horses. As well as classes for Part-bred and Pure-bred Caspians both In-Hand and Ridden, there will be Open classes for Pleasure Driving (either Exercise Carts or more elegant vehicles will be welcome), Fancy Dress and Gymkhana. There will also be a Parade of Licensed Stallions and, new this year, a Parade of Pure-Breds and Part-Breds For Sale. For those who wish to make a day of it, Ragley Hall and its extensive grounds are open to the public and there is plenty to see besides the Caspian Show. Class timings are approximate but should be helpful in planning a uniquely rewarding day.
