Interest Builds on West Coast for Dressage Olympic Selection Trials

The Dressage Olympic Selection Trials take place in California for the first time and present local dressage followers with a rare opportunity to watch the best horses and riders in the US compete on their doorstep. "I think it will have a huge impact on the West Coast dressage community," said Pam Lane who co-manages the show with Glenda McElroy. "This is wonderful for us."

With headsets available for spectators to listen to expert commentary by "O" Judge, Axel Steiner and the provision of instant scoring, the Trials promise to be educational as well as entertaining. "For the dressage enthusiast this is an incredible opportunity to see the best horses and watch how they are judged instantly on the scoreboard, as well as listen to the viewpoint of a leading judge," said Lane.

The Trials are also the 2004 USEF Grand Prix Championships and are being held in conjunction with the 2004 USEF Intermediaire Championships over the weekends of June 12-13 and June 18-20 at Oaks Blenheim Exhibitions, a picturesque West Coast setting.

Saturday and Sunday of the final weekend will also feature an exhibition of Classical Dressage presented by Robinson Lusitanos and João Oliveira, son of the celebrated 'Master' Nuno Oliveira.

In addition there will be a Silent Auction, Trade Fair and many more attractions for the dressage enthusiast. A variety of sponsorship packages as well as tickets to the event are available online at www.cornerstonedressage.com.
