Crowd favourite, the 'Bush Poet', will again entertain crowds at this year's Mane Event. Guy Mclean is an accomplished, self taught Natural Horseman, as well as two time Australian Bush Poetry Champion. With the help if his magnificent buckskin quarterhorse stallion, 'Nugget', Guy will recite in his own unique style, a beautifully written poem that guarantees to capture the true essence of Australia. Tickets for the Mane Event are now on sale through RACV Ticketing on 13 28 86. EQUITANA Hosts the World Cutting Masters The World Cutting Masters, to be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on Saturday 24 November, promises to be a day full of impressive competition. This year Australia's top cutting horses and trainers will compete for $35,000 in prizemoney plus 100% added entries (est. total $47,000). Set to compete in the event is the recent Morning Sun Ranch Gold Cup Winner, Todd Graham. Todd's flawless performance at the Commonwealth Bank Futurity in Tamworth provided him with a new Australian Record, equaling the World Record Cutting score of 232. EQUITANA Special Schools Program This year EQUITANA has created a special schools program, available on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 November. These full day packages begin at 10.00am with a half day of informative, interactive sessions and panels specifically designed for students aged 12-18. The afternoon is left free for groups to attend the competitions, demonstrations and the exhibitions.
