Odyssey Show takes up speed

Sheridan Promotions have today confirmed plans for the exciting Five Star Belfast Indoor International Horse Show at The Odyssey Arena are now well under way.

Irish European Champions, Jessica Kurten, Peter Charles, Kevin Babington and Dermott Lennon, current World Show Jumping Champion have confirmed their wish to participate at the event. While Cian O’Connor, Conor Swail and British riders Michael and John Whitaker, Robert Smith, Di Lampard and Nick Skelton have also joined the prestigious line up. The first of the European riders to confirm attendance at this very early stage is Switzerland’s, Marcus Fuchs, with others being released shortly.

These biggest names in World Show Jumping will take you on a roller coaster ride of excitement in events like the exhilarating Puissance, The Sixbar, The Jockey Chase, The Knockout, the prestigious International City Grand Prix and of course The Irish Shetland Grand National along with the Celebrity Team Challenge. On the opening night of the show the 30 competing International riders will be balloted into six teams of five riders, each with their own celebrity team captain, which carries with it a total prize fund of £10,000 for the charity of their choice.

Some leading jockeys from the world of racing who will compete against the show jumpers for the charities of their choice on the Friday night of the show are confirmed as, current 2003 Martel Grand National winning jockey Barry Geraghty along with former winners Ruby Walsh and Paul Carberry.

Finally Tushingham Stable Hire and in addition funding has been awarded to the show by The Irish Sports Council, which has benefited for the proceeds of The National Lottery.
