Grand Slam Victor Launches New Video

Pippa Funnell's momentous victory at Burghley, which also netted her the valuable Rolex Grand Slam award of $250,000 for winning Badminton, the Rolex 3-Day Event in Kentucky, and Burghley, provided an exciting climax to the season for her sponsors, Equestrian Vision.
Burghley provided the ideal venue for the launch of their new video, Pippa Funnell: Riding Your New Horse. One of the great strengths of the double European and Badminton champion is her ability to forge successful partnerships with her new horses and she cannot stress strongly enough the importance of developing that unique relationship. The programme sets out a series of exercises to help assess the new horse and then deal with and work on some of the common problems.

Pippa demonstrates the flatwork and show jumping exercises riding a 4 year old and 6 year old and also teaches a pupil on a third, more experienced horse. The programme also includes an introduction to cross country riding and how to start off your training for this particular discipline.

The aptly named Pippa Funnell: The Road To The Top is the first in a series of videos being produced by Equestrian Vision as part of their sponsorship of Pippa. Since its release at Badminton, the programme has proved popular throughout the season as it became more apparent that Pippa could achieve the Grand Slam. The film takes a look at Pippa's career to date and gives a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes at the day-to-day life of this popular and successful rider.

Pippa Funnell: Riding Your New Horse costs £19.99 (RRP). Pippa Funnell: The Road To The Top costs £15.99 (RRP). Both are available from all good equestrian retailers or by mail order from Equestrian Vision. A wide range of Equestrian Vision titles to suit all tastes and interests will provide the answer for some early Christmas presents. For more information, telephone 01730 892220, or visit
