Jeep National Riding Festival Jeep Saddles Up for Different Kind of Horse Power

Get ready to saddle up for the Jeep National Riding Festival 2001!
The Festival, now in its fifth consecutive year, will be touring the UK once again to give riding a substantial boost over the summer months - and there's plenty in store for everyone!

Supermodel Jodie Kidd got this year's festival underway and it's gone from strength to strength, seeing riding schools across the country getting involved and opening their doors to new recruits. Hundreds of children have descended on riding centres nationwide to take up the reins and have a go at riding thanks to the voucher system, offering discounted lessons to encourage newcomers to the sport.

Over 6,500 children have met Trigger, the mechanical horse, as the Festival's roadshow toured primary schools and over 8,000 horse lovers and their family and friends visited the local spearhead events taking place around the regions to enjoy a spectacular showcase of events, epitomising everything about horses and riding.

The Festival has undoubtedly been seen by the horse world as a positive way of getting people interested in the sport and with 71% of riding schools already eager to join in the fun planned for 2001, we're looking forward to a sensational summer of activities and events, so watch out for details in your local area.

Due to poplar demand, the Festival has kept some key elements of this year's itinery in the programme for 2001. Trigger, the famous mechanical horse, will
be touring the UK again during May, visiting over 5,000 primary school children with an instructor from a local BHS / ABRS riding school. Not only will children be able to enjoy a fun packed day at school learning more about horses and riding, but teachers can continue to teach the children about horses thanks to the fantastic pony educational pack that has been specially produced by the Festival.

North to south, at 15 key venues throughout the country, the Jeep HorsePower Days will be targeting the larger equestrian centres to put on a showcase of activities and displays. From Western riding and falconry displays to pitting your wits against the Jeep off road driving course or simply having towing lessons from the experts, there's plenty of entertainment for everyone that will keep you occupied all day!
