RESEARCH AND DEMAND RESULTS IN THE BEST

horse

A meeting at Henbury International Horse Trials in 1999 prompted the development of the new J3 Helmet by Charles Owen. Launched at BETA in 2001 the helmet has a unique super snug secure harness, and leading international competitors have been eagarly awaiting their orders.

The initial conversation took place during the Charles Owen Sponsored Hog Roast and Drinks party betwen the BE Senior Squad Selection Commitee and Managing Director Roy Burek. A comment was made regarding the lack of a lightweight helmet for Event Riders that feaured a deeper padded harness. This was echoed throughout the ranks of the Racing Industry. Research was carried out amongst the upper ranks and it became clear that there was a demand for a lower profile, narrower helmet featuring such a harness. The J3 was developed with the help of consistent input from leading names from the Eventing and Racing Industries.

A matt black silk is provided at no extra cost with the J3. It has been specifically designed to flatter and enhance its appearance. So often, silks look untidy, do not fit and are insecure and unattractive. Charles Owen therefore decided to rectify this problem.
