World Equestrian Game Selection Criteria Available On USA Equestrian Web Site

USA Equestrian announced today that the proposed selection criteria for the
2002 World Equestrian games is available on its website at
www.equestrian.org/weg .

The USA Equestrian Executive Committee is expected to consider and act on
the criteria during its meeting Thursday, January 10, 2002. Any comments to
the criteria should be made in writing to Sherry Frank at
sfrank@equestrian.org or by fax at 859-231-6662, by 3:00 pm Eastern Time,
Thursday, January 10, 2002, prior to the Executive Committee meeting at the
USA Equestrian Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC.

USA Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation has over 77,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
