Major Names For Feed Forum

MAJOR names from the field of equine nutrition are set to discuss new advances and legislation updates at the Horse and Country Fair.

The Feed Forum is sponsored by BETA and the organisers have brought together some of the leading figures and experts from the feed industry.

Clare MacLeod, MSc, Rnutr, of Feedmark will speak on 'What You Can Read From a Feed Bag or Tub'; Teresa Hollands MSc, Rnutr and Louise Jones MSc, of Dodson and Horrell will speak on 'What Kind of Energy is Your Feed Giving Your Horse'.

Here they will look at the nature of energy and its forms, from fizzy to non-heating.

Feed issues are currently high on the agenda at BETA with the association working with key players in the industry to lobby on issues relevant to both manufacturers and consumers.

The Horse and Country Fair is being held at Sandown Park, April 12 and 13 with a host of attractions planned over the two days.

BETA Chief Executive and Secretary Claire Williams said: "We are very much looking forward to the Feed Forum at the fair, the three speakers we have secured are leaders in their field and I am sure will provide some thought provoking discussion."

Jill Button of event organisers Just Brilliant Events said: "We are delighted to be hosting the Feed Forum at the Horse and Country Fair. It is a new aspect of the event which we are sure will prove very popular, and we are very pleased to have BETA on board as sponsors."
