The Sidelines Series Presents:
The Outback Equestrian Triathlon
March 5, 2001

Location: The Outback Polo Club on Southfields Rd just east of the Show Grounds and north of Lake Worth Extension off South Shore.

This year's premier event will benefit Joanna Monaco. Joanna is a long time friend of both the Polo and the Equestrian communities and she has been battling a brain tumor for the last several years.

The event is scheduled for Monday, March 5th. Monday, being the traditional day off for all equestrians, we are looking for a great turnout. Everyone is invited to come and watch an exhibition of four teams of three riders competing in the first ever and now to become annual event. This year at Outback...next year at Stadium Jumping.

Each team will have one rider of each of the three disciplines, polo, jumping and dressage. Tim Gannon has graciously offered to host the event at his newly opened Outback Polo Club. The event committee, Samantha Charles, Neil Shapiro, Heather Crespo, David Lominska and Robin Dutoit have found top riders willing to donate their time and horses and put together the teams and sponsorship as a kick off for this first ever competition. Next year we are hoping to expand the event and everyone will be invited to enter their own team.

The games will start at 1PM starting with Dressage, then Jumping, and finally a polo match. The games will be followed by a rider auction and an Outback BBQ.
