BETA International Best Stand Award Winners

Best Stand Awards - Sponsor - The Forest Wine and Hamper Company

Best Large Stand - Matchmakers International

Runner Up - Sasta Oy

Best Small Stand - Muddy Puddles

Runner-Up - Veredus

THIS year's Best Stand Awards at BETA International saw judges BETA Chairman Peter Lewis and Brian Toon facing a tough task.

Throughout the three halls there were a host of first class stands with the judges remarking on the huge amount of effort that many of the exhibitor had gone to this year.

The BETA International Best Stand Awards were sponsored by The Forest Wine and Hamper Company Ltd who provided bulging hampers for the winner and runner-up.

David Browning of Coalville-based company said: "It is the first time we have sponsored at BETA International and we are delighted with the smooth running of the awards."

Winner of the Best Large Stand Award was Matchmakers International, the company having invested in a new stand with an up to the minute look and feel which drew many admirers.

Richard Lawrence of Matchmakers International said: "A lot of investment, time and effort went into the stand, we felt after three years it was time for a change and update."

The runner-up in the Best Large Stand Award went to Finnish company Sasta-Oy, well known for its outdoor country clothing.

Jari Saastamoinen of Sasta-Oy said: "This year we made subtle changes and developments to the stand, we were delighted to receive the award."

The Best Small Standard Award went to Muddy Puddles, specialists in children's waterproofs and clothing.

Said Susie Cutler: "This is our third time at BETA International, we are over the moon to receive the award."

Italian company Veredus received the runner-up award for their excellent display of boots and imaginative stand.
