Visit The British Horse Society at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials

Well you can tell spring is here with the start of the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, Thursday 29 April - Sunday 1 May, next week, and as usual the BHS will have a trade stand at the event.

This year brings an action packed stand. Not only will it be full of horse books and gifts, information and members of the BHS staff to answer all your queries, book signings with some top eventing stars, and the launch of new BHS Welfare initiatives will take place.

The 'First Horse Owner Information Pack' will make its debut appearance to the public on Saturday 1 May. Produced by the Welfare department in response to over 30,000 welfare queries a year, the pack aims to provide prospective horse owners, and new owners, with information ranging from how much it costs to keep a horse or pony, to advice on feeding, vaccinations, and worming.

The other exciting BHS Welfare initiative to take place is the launch of the 'BHS Equi Care' magazine. This publication will complement the 'First Horse Owner Information Pack' and will focus on various aspects of horse care and welfare, including a breed fact file.

Both international event riders William Fox-Pitt and Blyth Tait will be signing copies of their latest books. Publishers David & Charles will be launching the new William Fox-Pitt book 'Schooling for Success' on Friday 30 April at 6pm, and William will be available to sign copies. On Saturday 1 May Blyth Tait will visit the stand at 11am and 2pm to sign copies of 'Cross Country with Blyth Tait'.

The British Horse Society will be at stand number 109 for the four days of the event, and BHS staff will be sporting some great clothing kindly donated by Javlin. Do come along and visit, and see what the BHS has achieved since last year, browse the wide range of equestrian books and gifts, and rub shoulders with some of Eventings' Greats. Remember, British Horse Society and British Riding Clubs members are entitled to a 10% discount on production of their membership card.
