Box Office Opens for Bumper Burghley

The Box Office is now open for what will be the best ever Burghley Masterfoods Horse Trials (4th-7th September).

The event, which provides a higher competitive standard than the Olympics, is already the world’s favourite horse trials but this year it will be offering so much more.

In addition to Burghley providing the last chance to see the top riders before they leave for the European Championships, visitors will be able to see Badminton Champion Pippa Funnell giving her all to claim the richest prize in the sports history by winning the $250,000 (£150,000) Rolex Grand Slam – but she must win, second place will not be good enough.

The final phase of show jumping on Sunday is always the climax of Burghley but this year the trot-up will take place from 8.00-9.30a.m. and Three Day Event Show Jumping will finish at 1.00p.m.. Visitors will then be able to enjoy a packed ring programme, which will include Four-In-Hand Obstacle Driving, Power Show Jumping and Celebrity Gymkhana Games as well as The Band of The Parachute Regiment and the traditional Parade of Foxhounds.

All this as well as the finest shopping of any outdoor show in the country with over 300 shops and the chance to see some exciting attractions on the other days of the event such as the Burghley Strongid-P Pony Club Team Jumping on Thursday and the finals of the Burghley Winergy Young Event Horse Series on Friday.

Attractive discounts are available for some tickets booked in advance and all accompanied children aged 12 and under enter the showground free of charge. So plan ahead, take advantage and book early to make sure you enjoy what promises to be the biggest and best Burghley ever. Separate tickets will be required for the afternoon performance.

Telephone the Box Office on 01933 304744 or visit the website at www.burghley-horse.co.uk for further information on the event and a comprehensive and secure online ticket booking service.
