Hold Your Horses

Hold Your Horses, Inc. of Oakdale, California USA is holding a drawing for a Norwegian Fjord Horse. This is a fund-raiser for the Therapeutic Riding Center that teaches children and adults with a variety of handicaps.

Executive Director, Terri Orsi-Weishaar started this program 5 years ago. The funds raised by the donation of $5.00 per ticket for the drawing goes to pay for scholarships for the students at the center. Hold Your Horses does not charge for their services to the students. They ask that those that can pay pay and those that cannot help around the farm.

If you are not a horse person, the drawing also offers $1000.00 in cash if your ticket is drawn. The drawing will take place at the SkandiFest Celebration in Turlock, California on September 30, 2001 at 12 noon. You need not be present to win.

The Norwegian Fjord Horse is a favorite for Therapeutic Riding Centers due to the calm nature of the breed. If your name is selected, you could bring a brown dun Fjord named "Nestemann" home. He is a yearling gelding and very sweet. He has be imprinted and work with by people that use only gentle methods of training.

Donations to Hold Your Horses, Inc. are always welcomed.

When requesting tickets, please send checks or money orders only, do not send cash. Send your letters to: Hold Your Horses, INC. 9700 Ranchwood Court, Oakdale, CA 95361-8814
