Copies Still Available of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event 25th Anniversary Commemorative Book

Lexington, KY—June 17, 2003—Equestrian Events, Inc. has announced that copies of Kentucky Three-Day Event: A 25-Year Retrospective are still available for sale.

Kentucky’s famed Three-Day Event celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2002. As part of its Silver Anniversary Celebration, the organizer, Equestrian Events, Inc., published a commemorative book chronicling the 25-year history of the nation’s premier Three-Day Event, from the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships through the 2002 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.

Kentucky Three-Day Event: A 25-Year Retrospective is a limited edition, hardcover book combining more than 150 captivating color photographs with highlights from each historic year plus first-hand accounts from a variety of people who have been involved with the event over the last quarter century.

The first 2500 copies are individually numbered. Numbered copies are available for $50.00 each and unnumbered copies are available for just $40.00, plus $5.00 shipping and handling per book.

As you relive many of Kentucky’s most exciting moments and watch it transform into the world-renowned competition it is today, you’ll be able to see why the Kentucky Three-Day Event has become America’s best and most beloved equestrian sports event. The book was written by Marty Bauman, press chief of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event since 1998 and Director of Public Relations for the United States Equestrian Team since 1990. It was designed by Jason Wilhoite of Sag Harbor, NY and Charlie Stone of Stone Advisory in Lexington, KY, which coordinated the project.

Equestrian Events, Inc. is a non-profit Kentucky corporation formed in 1975 initially to stage the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships. Since that time, the Kentucky Three-Day Event has grown to become America’s first Four Star event.
