horse 'L' Mix - specially formulated for horses or ponies at risk from laminitis

Every new piece of research indicates that, for horses and ponies prone to laminitis, a high-fibre feed is much healthier than a high-calorie starch-based one - the amount of starch consumed by the horse tends to be the main trigger for an attack of laminitis. With no added sugars, molasses or cereals 'L' Mix is high in fibre, yet low in starch and calories and is thus an excellent feed for these horses. Alfalfa and chaff are low in fructans and, as long fibre, ensure longer chewing time, which helps to maintain a healthy digestive system in horses or ponies on a restricted diet. In addition, quality vegetable proteins and a balance of omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids from soya oil and linseed help provide essential nutrients. A unique blend of premium-grade herbs, including rosehips, nettle and dandelion amongst others, works in synergy with the other ingredients. Protexin Probiotics and yeast help to establish and maintain a healthy balance of micro-organisms in the gut for effective digestion.

"Her enthusiasm in eating it has been overwhelming...it looks and smells really nice...so far the new feed is a resounding success!" Says one owner who recently discovered 'L' Mix.
