DNA SEMINAR in PORTLAND

The Kiger Mesteno Association is extremely honored to bring Dr. Gus Cothran, Director of Equine Parentage test and DNA Research at the University of Kentucky to Portland, Oregon on September 7th, 2001 for a much anticipated lecture on horses.

3 subjects to be included will be:
1) DNA Testing in horses
2) Studies linking the Kiger and other breeds to the Iberian Horse through blood work.
3) The Horse Genome Project and it's status

Questions will follow the lecture. KMA is considering having the lecture professionally video taped, to make copies available to interested parties who are unable to attend this monumental event. This is a unique opportunity not only for Kiger owners and breeders, but all equine enthusiasts-bring your friends!
