Natural Western Riding

A Horse of Course

Cathy Hanson will take time off from AQHA World Championship competition
to autograph her new book, Natural Western Riding.
Hanson, who has six horses competing this year, co-authored the book with
author/trainer Don Blazer. Hanson wrote a special section entitled,
Mastering Trail Courses, and she did all the riding for the book's more
than 40 demonstration photographs.
Blue Ribbon Books, which annually has a booth in the trade show convention
hall, will host Hanson's appearance which will be announced each day during
the competition, Nov. 5 through Nov. 15 in Oklahoma City.
Natural Western Riding details every weight, leg and rein cue for every
western riding exercise, as well as giving the horse's foot fall sequence
for every exercise. Now expanded and updated and with the addition of
Hanson's section of tips and tricks for winning trail horse competition,
the book has already been selected for use by several college equine
science programs.
The book is not expected in stores before December, but can been seen and
ordered on the Internet at www.donblazer.com
