BHS INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATES AWARDED

Six candidates have passed their British Horse Society Instructor exams and
are now entitled to put BHSI after their name. They are:

Patricia Hayler Sheppey, Kent
Rebecca Coleman Newent, Gloucestershire
Elizabeth Taylor Oxton, Nottinghamshire
Susan Chadwick Huddersfield, Yorkshire
Rebecca Adams Holmfirth, Yorkshire
Sarah Bassett Bonvilston, South Glamorgan

Instructors only achieve the coveted "I" after many years of study and
teaching. A very high standard of riding, stable management and instruction
must be reached before the qualification is awarded. The BHSI is second
only to the BHS Fellow, of whom there are only about 50 in the world.

The BHS would like to congratulate the candidates on their achievement and
wish them every success in their future careers. The fact that there were
only six passes out of 21 candidates is indicative of the demanding
standards at this level.
