horse Mammoth Carrot Mountain to Help Horse Charity

Enough carrots to satisfy hundreds of hungry horses will be on sale at an Exeter
equine event thanks to the generosity of Nigel and Della Bone, of Bones of
Hatherleigh, Devon.

At the South West Christmas Equine Fair, Exeter on 24th & 25th November 20 tons
of carrots will be sold in aid of the ILPH (International League for the Protection of
Horses).

Says John Cannon, ILPH Mobile Promotions Officer, "We are extremely grateful to
Nigel and Della for their generosity in providing this mammoth mountain of carrots.
Over the two days of the show we will have a dedicated band of volunteers on hand to
bag up and sell the carrots raising very valuable funds for the ILPH."

Allen & Page, Dengie, Dodson & Horrell, Saracen and Topspec Supplements are
also kindly demonstrating their charitable Christmas spirit by contributing to a
voucher, to the value of £3, which will be given away free with every bag of carrots
sold, as well as collecting donations for the ILPH for samples on their stands.

Comments Nigel Bone, "It's a great fundraiser, with the backing of the manufacturers
we hope to raise a record amount for the ILPH."

Adds John Cannon, "Thanks too must go to the kindness of Sandra Turner, of Contour
Exhibitions and Events, who have not only chosen the ILPH as their official charity this
year but have allowed us into the main ring with a parade of ILPH horses. Some of
the horses and ponies that will be in the parade are already on loan, but others will be
looking for suitable loaners to give them a loving home."
