What a Christmas Present!
The winner of the Baileys "Cash for
Christmas" Prize Draw for £1,000 was Peter Parsons of Knossington in
Leicestershire. Peter runs a hunting yard in the Cottesmore country, feeding 10
horses and had been collecting the tokens on promotional bags of Baileys
Economy Mix which he sent in for his Christmas "cash back". An added
extra for this year's promotion was the entry into a free prize draw for
£1,000 for every 20 tokens that were sent in.
Although obviously delighted to receive the
news of his early Christmas present, he was unable to collect the cheque in
person at the International Show Jumping Championships at Olympia just before
Christmas, as this was a Monday, normally his busiest day preparing horses for
hunting on Tuesday. However, his wife, Heather and 11 year old daughter, Angela
had a super day out, receiving the cheque before lunch and then enjoying the
afternoon performance at Olympia plus a look behind the scenes with Baileys
supported show jumper, Andrew Davies. "We have never won anything like
this before and nor had we been to Olympia so it's been twice as exciting for
us," said Heather.
Also sharing in their success was Kerry
O'Connor of Welland Valley Feeds who won £1,000 as the supplier of the
winning feed! "We had ordered some feed from Baileys that was due to
arrive on Monday but when their Sales Office rang to say that I probably
wouldn't be there to help unload it, I had no idea what they meant and had a
lovely surprise!" she said. Kerry has 13 staff working in her Market
Harborough store and brought Stella Garfield with her for the special day out.
Of particular significance at Olympia each year
is the NPS/Baileys Horse Feeds Ridden Mountain Moorland Championship which this
time was won by the Highland stallion, Snowydene ridden by Lizzie Briant.
