Kawasaki Commercial Products Division have generously agreed to sponsor the BHS Hunter Trials 2000-1 series. BHS chairman Michael Clayton said: "We are delighted that a company of the stature of Kawasaki wants to sponsor the BHS hunter trials. It is evidence of the value they perceive in a partnership with the grass roots of equestrian sport."

Jack Ford, UK Sales and Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Commercial Products, said "It's marvellous to help establish an exciting event such as this particularly with its appeal to such a broad cross-section of leisure riders".

The equestrian world is becoming increasingly aware of the valuable use to be made of ATVs around the stable yard and paddocks, together with the power products such as brushcutters, hedge trimmers, and blowers. This makes the association with Kawasaki mutually beneficial.

Thirty three events are being planned around the country for the coming season and the national final will be held at Offchurch Bury on 18-19 August. (Complete list of dates and venues attached).

The aim of the competition is to allow recreational riders at every level of ability to 'have a go'. The courses are designed to provide a challenge for riders of varying skills and at the same time to be well constructed and safe. Each competition consist of three sections - two individual classes and one pairs. Section A (pairs) and Section B fences will not exceed 2'9", and Section C fences will not exceed 3'3". The courses are about 1.5 miles long, with 18-20 fences.

Entries are invited now for all the above qualifiers. Entry fee is £22, with a reduced rate of £12 for BHS gold members and £16 for BHS silvermembers, BHS affiliated riding clubs, and Pony Club.
Entry forms from the Competitions Office, BHS, Stoneleigh Deer Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire CV82XZ (sae please).
