MADDEN SOARS WITH CLOUD NINE
WELLINGTON, FL - FEBRUARY 24, 2001 -Beezie Madden
of Cazenovia, NY rode the 9 year-old grey Hanovarian gelding, Cloud Nine to
victory in the $10,000 Zada Enterprises, LLC Open Jumper Classic at the
Cosequin Winter Equestrian Festival on Saturday. "He's a real winner and I
love to ride him," said Madden, referring to Cloud Nine, sired by Gross
Clockner and who has been with Madden since he was 6 years old. Madden was one
of 65 starters and the fastest of only 2 double-fault-free rounds to take first
place with a time of 38.093 seconds. Canadian Eric Lamaze, on board Ezior
Danum, cleared the jump-off track in 41.249 seconds, just over a full 3 seconds
away from Madden, for the second place slot. Lamaze was followed by
Wellington's own Candice King, who finished third with 4 faults in the jump-off
round and a time of 38.733 seconds up on Elu De La Hardiere.Game time is 2:00 PM on Sunday for the $75,000 Zada
Enterprises, L.L.C. Masters Cup. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students and
seniors, and
