Important Changes to HOYS Qualifiers

Due to the restriction of Foot-and-Mouth Disease, it has been necessary to re-schedule several of the Spring Qualifiers for the 2001 Horse of the Year Show (2nd – 7th October).

The West Midlands Stallion Show (14th April) has been cancelled. The HOYS Qualifiers due to run at this show have been re-scheduled as follows;

• Mountain & Moorland Pure Bred Ridden – Tring Show, Hertfordshire, 29th July
• Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein & First Ridden – Cheshire Premier Summer Show, Merseyside, 30th June

The South of England Spring Show (9th-12th April) has been postponed and will now run on two dates, 15th May and 22nd July. The Small Show Hunter, Show Hunter Pony, Intermediate Show Hunter and Intermediate Riding Type Qualifiers will all now be run on the 22nd July.

The Newark and Nottinghamshire County Show (May 12th –13th) has also been cancelled. The Breeders Challenge In Hand Qualifier due to run at this show will be rescheduled and the date will be announced shortly.

The Royal Cornwall Show (7th – 9th June) has been postponed until 13 – 15th September. All the Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers due to run at this show have also been postponed until September.
