TICKHAM BRANCH OF THE PONY CLUB - EVENTS 2000

Our Pony Club covers the whole areas of Medway, Faversham, Maidstone and Sittingbourne and is responsible for educating youngster to ride correctly and most important the discipline of looking after their animals giving what we believe is a big step towards building their characters to take them forward in life.

Whilst safety has always been of prime importance recent introduction of tougher legislation and medical cover for our events has meant we must look for support in the way of Sponsorship to ensure we can provide the youngsters with the best teaching. The deaths of several competitors highlighted in the media last year means that we must ensure out youngsters ride correctly and safety is paramount. The costs of medical cover per event is now over £500 and we try to run at least 6 major events during the year, ONE DAY EVENT, HUNTER TRIALS, WINTER SHOWJUMPING COMPETITIONS, SUMMER OPEN SHOW are just some of our events together with rallies, club nights and team competitions in the South East of England.

It would assist our youngsters greatly if your company could help with Sponsorship in some form or other and we would be only to pleased to receive a contribution or discuss the possibilities with you. We do hope you can see your way to supporting us.

Yours sincerely Mr. M. J. Harrison
Sponsor Secretary.
