EFI INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR NEW POST OF COACHING DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The EFI invites application for the new, full-time position of
COACHING DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The duties of the Coaching Development Officer, undertaken in conjunction with the National Coaching and Training Centre, will be:

COACH EDUCATION
* Develop the EFI coaching syllabi (Intro to Level 4, aligned to the EFI rider pathway)
* Develop the support materials for coaches
*Design and promote an on - going inservice training programme for coaches
* Plan and organise coach education courses
* Draw up and implement an annual coaching and coach education plan
* Promote coaching and coach education programmes
* Monitor the certification process
* Monitor the coach education process
* Inspect and approve course venues
* Deliver the coach education programme within agreed budget

TUTOR SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT
*Liaise with and identify needs of tutors
* Help prepare support materials for tutors
* Design and promote an on-going inservice training programme for tutors
* Budget for and allocate remuneration to tutors
* Lead the tutor team to progress the coach education programme and keep up to date

ADMINISTRATION
* Inform and liaise with the EFI PRO
* Maintain a contact with the EFI societies
* Organise the annual Coaching Conference
* Deal with enquiries from the general public
* Distribute the coaching budget
* Design and maintain a database
* Record minutes of EFI Coaching Committee meetings

OTHER
* Carry out the policies of the EFI Coaching Committee
* Source sponsorship in the context of overall sponsorship of the EFI
* Liaise with the NCTC, the ISC and other relevant bodies

QUALITIES SOUGHT
* Equestrian or other qualification in teaching (not essential)
* Knowledge of the EFI Equestrian sports
* Office and computer skills
* Track record in leadership skills
* Proven record as a 'team member'
* Open minded
*Ability to motivate and inspire others
* Committed to the ideals and policies of the EFI
* Passionate about equestrian sport

SALARY AND CONDITIONS
* Commensurate with experience / qualifications
