NFU PRESIDENT BEN GILL TO HAVE FURTHER MEETING
WITH CHIEF SCIENTIFIC ADVISOR

NFU President Ben Gill is to attend a further meeting this morning with the
Government's Chief Scientific Advisor Professor David King on the use of
vaccination in the fight against foot and mouth disease.
Mr Gill will be accompanied by the NFU's Director General Richard Macdonald and
Animal Health and Welfare Committee Chairman Neil Cutler as well as
representatives from the British Cattle Veterinary Association.
The meeting at the DTI buildings is expected to last two hours BUT THIS IS
APPROXIMATE. Mr Gill will be available for interviews immediately after the
meeting.
