ARMATHWAITE HALL STRONGID-P HORSE TRIALS & COUNTRY FAIR HOSTS MAJOR SHOWING PROGRAMME Continuing the rapid and innovative development of what is already a major fixture in the national calendar, the team behind the Armathwaite Hall Strongid-P Horse Trials & Country Fair has confirmed details of the showing programme that will take place on Friday June 30. A £250 Supreme Championship prize plus The Equestrian Magazine Perpetual Challenge Trophy, with a reserve of £100 is on offer, with rugs for all champions and Spillers feed vouchers to all class winners in addition to prize money. Hosting BSPS qualifiers for the Dennybeck Classic, the Intermediate of the Year, the 122cms Show Hunter Pony of the Year and the BSPS Summer Championships, the schedule also includes Ponies UK Summer Championship qualifiers, Side Saddle Association classes, ridden hunters qualifying for the National Hunter Supreme Championship and riding horse, hack and cob tickets to the Royal International in 2001. Taking over at the helm of the showing section for 2000, Cath Hutchinson brings a wealth of experience to the Armathwaite team and is confident that the schedule will attract a strong entry to the Cumbrian venue. On-site stabling, a major Country Fair and two days of horse trials competition from pre-novice to advanced level, with a £24,000 prize fund and a £25,650 Discovery up for grabs in the Strongid-P Classic section, promises a feast of thrills and spills in the uniquely attractive setting of the Lake District.
