SPLAINE TAKES £6,000 IN BARCELONA GRAND
PRIX
After a series of top places in Madrid, Lisbon and
Barcelona, Ireland's Robert Splaine today (Sunday) was awarded Second Place in
the Iberia Cup Final, which scores riders on an accumulation of points at the
three venues.
Splaine also picked up £6,000 today for a Second Place in the Barcelona
Grand Prix, riding his most successful mount throughout the Iberian campaign,
the Irish-bred Coolcorron Cool Diamond.
Irish riders have been particularly successful over the last ten days with
Grand Prix wins in Europe, and Splaine's Barcelona Second is yet another
feather in Ireland's cap this month.
