horse Record Attendance at ILPH Summer Show

May be it was the sunshine, the cancellation of the Norfolk Show, the scarcity of horse shows this summer or just the free entry to the showground. Whatever the reason the ILPH Summer Show on Saturday 23 June, broke all records !

With over 6,000 through the gates, 376 horses and ponies competing in 62 classes, 10 championships and a Supreme Championship, and with a profit of over £10,000, the day was deemed a resounding success.

Says Roly Owers, Director of Fundraising, "It was absolutely marvellous, an excellent day that exceeded all our expectations.

"The main ring attractions, which included the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and Tanya Larrigan and her Mini Marvels, enthralled the crowds and our horse show judges valiently kept going until the Supreme Championship judging at 6.45 pm.

"I must say a big thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and to all ILPH staff who pulled out all the stops both before and on the day, who together made the Show the success that it was."
