Tim Hadaway, organiser of the Bowmore Blair
Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair is heading for the Sydney
2000 Olympics in Australia, this September.
Tim, who lives at Bankfoot, has been selected
as one of just two Technical Advisers from the British Horse Trials Association
to travel to Sydney to work with the organising committee of the equestrian
events.
"This is a unique opportunity for me to
experience at first hand the organisation of sporting events at the very
highest level," said Tim.
He is looking forward to the trip which will
give him the chance to help with all the work behind the scenes of not only the
three-day event but also the dressage and showjumping disciplines.
He said, "It is a great honour to be
selected for this trip of a lifetime and I am especially grateful to both
Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd and Blair Castle Estate whose financial help
have made it all possible."
Tim has a busy summer ahead of him preparing
for the Bowmore Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair, which
takes place from 24th to 27th August, before taking off for Australia in the
first week of September.
