SUCCESS FOR FELICITY COULTHARD AT THE RDA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

British Equestrian Insurance Brokers Ltd (BEIB) would like to congratulate talented young disabled rider Felicity Coulthard from Darwen on her success at the recent RDA National Dressage Championships at Warwickshire College. Felicity, whom BEIB have supported this year, won first place in Test 21a and second place in the Grade 1 Kur with Honey, a 14hh chestnut mare owned by Deborah Baldwin.

Felicity's win came as a surprise to her as she felt that they could have performed better on the day, despite having partnered this pony for only a short time - her own horse Valentine's Dream currently being lame. The win brings Felicity a step closer to her dream of success, which is fuelled by following the careers of talented disabled riders such as Lee Pearson and Paralympian Jo Jackson.

This was Felicity's second visit to the Championships having finished in 3rd position in the Junior section, and 8th overall last year. The pinnacle of her equestrian career to date, the result was just reward for the complete commitment shown by Felicity (and her parents) towards her competitive riding.

The pair qualified for this year's Championships in May and had been training hard since then with the Pendle RDA Group and the North West RDA Dressage Group to maintain their form for the Nationals.

Staffed by riders and enthusiasts, BEIB are the only specialist independent Lloyd's broker to offer the horse owner and rider a complete 'one stop insurance shop service'. Please call 01732 771719 for product information or for a quote.
