In the year since the PA State Police were backed off from New Holland, things
have returned to normal.
Dealer & haulers no longer have current permits to conduct business.
Motor vehicle violations abound.
Horses are even dying right in the aisle after being sold through the ring.
Horses on 3 legs are transported to the sale & sold.
Money.
One has to wonder who contributes to Senator Wenger's (R) New Holland,
re-election campaign...
Senator Wenger is on the Appropriations Committee & the Agricultural &
Rural Affairs Committee.
Fortunatley for the horses the crimes have been documented.
What can be done?
The EPN has a sample letter that can be sent to the PA State Police urging them
to resume enforcement efforts at the New Holland Sales & other PA horse
sales.
