The original concept of the International registry was formed as the
International Buckskin Horse Registry in California and subsequently moved to
Indiana in 1970 for incorporation in the state of Indiana. The registry was
formed to collect, record and preserve pedigrees of horses duly registered. The
Association serves to promote the registered horses by approving shows,
awarding points and titles and recording ownership & pedigree
information.
