The Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association at
Woodbine Racetrack, in collaboration with the ERC,
organized two evenings of continuing education for their
grooming and assistant trainer programs. Anatomy professor
Jeff Thomason (left) of the University of Guelph gave a lower
limb presentation, and in Fort Erie, Marc André Blouin of
Purina was also on hand to discuss general nutrition of the
racehorse. The audience was enthralled.

Have you made a donation to horse research this year?
Only horse lovers will make a difference to progress in equine medicine and health care. We are only a small sector of the population, so it is important that we all support horse research. Attend a fundraiser; donate to a specific mission such as the Big Ben Memorial Fund, Horse Health Trust, or E.P. Taylor Equine Research Fund; make a memorial donation; a bequest; or planned gift. Our goal is to advance scientific research and education in the horse industry. To find out how you can help please call Heather at (519) 837-0061 or email:hafergu@uoguelph.ca or visit us on-line at www.erc.on.ca.
