HorseWorld Has Got Investors In People Licked!

HorseWorld, the South West's leading equine welfare charity, has just become the first equine charity in the UK to receive the Investors in People accreditation. The registered charity which rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses, ponies and donkeys in need from its headquarters in Whitchurch, Bristol, is currently responsible for over 300 animals. Working with animals that may have suffered from abuse or neglect, HorseWorld also has a visitor centre at one of its farms in Whitchurch.

"All the staff and Trustees are absolutely delighted with this award," said James Cretney, HorseWorld's Chief Executive. "The whole Investors in People process has had a large impact on the way we work and the way we manage our staff - all for the better. It also means that as an organisation that is clear about its objectives and has the support of its staff, we can deliver our services more cost-effectively. That's important to us and our supporters, who donate and help fund the work we are involved in. Unfortunately there is more and more demand for our work and counting the pennies is vital. This widely recognised award goes a long way to show the commitment we have to our work and the people who make it all happen."

" The Friends of Bristol Horses Society (working name HorseWorld) is a registered charity, based in Whitchurch, Bristol. The charity cares for equines that have been abandoned, mistreated, neglected, or whose owners can no longer care for them. The charity also re-homes suitable horses.
" The Friends of Bristol Horses Society was formed in 1952 by local volunteers.
" HorseWorld is purely dependent on donations; the charity receives no statutory funding or lottery money.
" HorseWorld runs a Visitor Centre in Whitchurch, Bristol, where the public can learn about and interact with horses, ponies and donkeys.
