horse OLN Re-Broadcasts $100,000 Grand Prix of Ocala, June 12

SAUGERTIES, NY (June 11, 2001)-HITS has announced that the Outdoor Life Network will re-broadcast the $100,000 Grand Prix of Ocala presented by Great American Insurance Companies Inc. on Tuesday, June 12 at 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. The event was previously televised on May 22. Filmed on March 11, 2001, at the Golden Hills International Show Grounds in Ocala, Florida, the footage shows the unique event in which the Millar family of Perth, Ontario, placed first, second and third in this high-stakes class.

Jonathan Millar, 27, riding Fine Line won the $100,000 Grand Prix, his father-eight-time Olympian Ian Millar, 54-on Ivar was second, and his sister, Amy Millar, 23, was third on Mill Creek Roseanne. The Millars were the only riders in a field of 44 to go clear on the Round One course built by Course Designer Anthony D'Ambrosio. The three went head-to-head in the Jump-Off. Jonathan and Fine Line, an 11-year old Dutch Warmblood stallion, had the only fault-free trip in the tiebreaker. Jonathan, as owner/rider, took home $30,000 for his win.

The $100,000 Grand Prix of Ocala presented by Great American Insurance Companies, Inc. was the grand finale to this year's HITS Ocala Winter Circuit, closing out five weeks of horse shows. Big Shot Productions filmed the Grand Prix for broadcast on Outdoor Life Network.
