CT June 4, 2002 When the 73rd annual Ox Ridge Charity
Horse Show opens Wednesday, June 12 at the Ox Ridge Hunt Club in
Darien CT, smart shoppers head for the Boutique Garden.
The
Ox Ridge Charity Horse Show offers some of the finest shopping at
more than 60 boutiques, featuring gifts for home and horse, young
and young-at-heart, art-lovers and animal-lovers and more!
Jewelry
lovers at Ox Ridge will enjoy shopping at The Amber Rose, with its
Baltic amber, gemstone & sterling items; at Catherine Canino
for sterling and 14K gold designer jewelry; at The Silver Web boutique
for custom jewelry in gold and silver; and at Great Horse Designs
for fine equestrian jewelry.
Equus Entries features 14K, 18K, and sterling silver equestrian
jewelry, as well hand-painted furniture, giftware and antiques.

visitors take a break from shopping in the Boutique Garden, theyll
see why the Ox Ridge Charity Horse Show is one of the nations
largest and most prestigious competitions, drawing more than 1500
horses from around the country. Horses and riders compete over classically
beautiful hunter courses and technically challenging jumper courses
on the park-like facility at the Ox Ridge Hunt Club.
The
highlight of the Ox Ridge Charity Horse Show, the $35,000 Ox Ridge
Grand Prix on Fathers Day, June 16, features many of the nations
top horses and riders including many Olympic veterans. Two-time
Olympian Leslie Howard of Westport, CT, is expected to be in the
line-up of participants. Howard, who won the 2000 Ox Ridge Grand
Prix, recently tied for fourth place with 2001 Ox Ridge Grand Prix
winner, McLain Ward of Brewster, NY, in the Show Jumping World Cup
Final in Leipzig, Germany. In 2001, Ward rode his mount Xtatic to
the win and placed 8th with another of his horses, Farrah, in the
Ox Ridge Grand Prix.
