Gaits Farm To Sponsor Junior Dressage Championship
|
Collecting
Gaits Farm has signed on to become a sponsor of the USAE Junior
Dressage Team Championship. The championship, created as part
of a movement to encouraging outstanding young riders, will be
held during Dressage at Devon, in Devon PA, September 23
28.
Riders,
ages 14 18, qualified for the USAE Junior Team Dressage
Championship by competing at USA Equestrian/United States Dressage
recognized competitions from August 1, 2002 through July 31, 2003.
Competitors must submit an Application of Intent and a minimum
of five qualifying scores to USA Equestrian. Of these five scores
two must be FEI Junior Team Tests, two FEI Junior Individual Tests
and one USA Equestrian Fourth Level Test 1. The top five scores
for each horse and rider combination will be calculated for the
final averages. Each horse and rider combination must achieve
an overall average score of 60.000% or higher. Once the riders
are selected, they are placed on teams in a handicapped format
so that when the members of a team average their individual scores
together, they are of similar percentages. During the competition,
team members will ride both the FEI Junior Team and the FEI Junior
Individual tests. Each team will drop the lowest score of each
test and accumulated percentages will determine the team placings.
