RECORD NUMBER
OF ENTRIES FOR MORGAN WORLD SHOW
|
The 29th Grand National
& World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma
City was held October 7-14, 2001. A record number of Morgans were entered
and shown before 24 judges to vie for a total of 98 world titles awarded
in
21 different divisions.
There were many stars
at the 2001 showcase of Morgan Horses including the
past World Champion, 14 year old gelding, Merriehill Hooligan, who went
away
with the World Champion English Pleasure 14-17 title with Kristin Ramsey
and
the World English Pleasure honor with David Rand. After waiting a decade
for a Triple Crown Champion, Reese Richey, 16, was the first young man
to
ever win the coveted Saddle Seat Equitation title.
