Sport Horse Studbook claims top placing in the Eventing rankings
of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses 2002/2003
for the 9th successive year |
For
the 9th successive year the Irish Sport Horse Studbook was the leading
studbook in the Eventing Rankings of the World Breeding Federation
for Sport Horses 2002/2003. The Irish Sport Horse Studbook topped
the rankings with a total of 1104 points, well clear of the Selle
Francais (2nd) and Hannoverian (3rd) studbooks with 737 and 534
points respectively.

In the Showjumping rankings of the World Breeding Federation for
Sport Horses 2002/3 the Irish Sport Horse Studbook was placed 6th,
moving up a rank from last years 7th placing. The top six Irish
Sport Horses in the 2002/3 Showjumping rankings were:

37th Coolcorron Cool Diamond by Glidawn Diamond
(RID)
61st Ado Annie by Errigal Flight (ISH)
127th Royal Charmer by Cavalier Royale (Holst)
137th Windgates King Koal by Kildalton King (RID)
In Showjumping last weekend, December 18th to 22nd, found Gerry
Maguire (ISH) ridden by Robert Smith (GBR) take joint first in the
Accenture Christmas Puissance class at the Olympia, London CSI W
last Friday. Further afield in Peru an Irish Sport Horse, Marlton
Ranger, was crowned 2003 National Champion in the Category A 1m45
section.
