Please note that, according to Article 342 of the USA Equestrian rules, standard proposed rule changes submitted by the general membership must be received in the Federation’s office by June 1, 2003. Article 342 reads, in part, as follows:

All proposals for rule changes from the general membership must be submitted to the office of the Federation in writing on the official form for proposed rule changes provided by the Federation by June 1 for forwarding to the Legislative Committee. Rule changes from individuals must be submitted by a proponent named on the proposal regardless of any committee positions held.

Proposed rule changes must be received from USA Equestrian committees and councils by September 15, 2003 and must be accompanied by minutes or certification with appropriate signatures. The USA Equestrian staff also has a September 15th deadline.

NOTE: Individual members are encouraged, but not required, to work through appropriate committees for submission of proposals. Committees and staff liaisons are listed on the USA Equestrian web site at www.equestrian.org/committee.
