horse www.equestriancornwall.co.uk has taken the initiative and sponsored a Unique Health and Safety evening open to all, on January 29, 2001, 7.30pm at the Crossroads Motel, Scorrier, Redruth.

Kathryn Pearn owner of the site said: "Confirmation of my commitment to the local horseworld comes with an increase in sponsorship for the Year 2001 on behalf of www.equestriancornwall.co.uk

"Being in a position to offer help with prize money gives me a great deal of pleasure but I also feel there is a great need for assistance with the funding and support of health and safety at shows and events. "As a show organiser myself, I know that one of the major concerns and worries we all share is for the health and safety of spectators and competitors at our shows and events. "Equestriancornwall will be sending out an open invitation to all those hard-working secretaries, committee members and volunteers who give up their time for so many in organising events and shows to join together for an informal evening of help, guidance, reassurance and information.

" www.equestriancornwall.co.uk has brought together a panel of experts who have kindly agreed to share their knowledge at an advice evening entitled "Equestrian Shows and Events- The Safety Factor" on January 29th 2001, 7.30pm at The Crossroads Motel, Redruth. Kathryn said: "Christopher Riddle (Royal Cornwall Show Secretary/Vice Chairman of the Association of Shows & Agricultural Organisation); Jane Phillips (Litigator specialising in Personal Injury and Equine Law); Bill Cook (Risk Assessor for the Pony Club at Branch, Area & National Level) and George Harvey (BSJA Course-builder) have generously agreed to sit on our panel.

"The evening is a unique opportunity for Show and Event Organisers, Secretaries, Competitors and Committee members to listen, learn, discuss and ask questions in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

Kathryn continued: "I hope the evening will be of interest and help to all of us. The site is also sponsoring an information pack which will be available on the night. "We will all have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss our concerns and it will also give me the chance to meet show organisers and have a chat about the ways in which the site can offer support. Kathryn concluded: "I am looking forward to the New Year and its challenges and welcome suggestions about how equestriancornwall can be of even greater help, please feel free to contact me for more infomation on the safety evening or in respect of any suggestions for improving the site."
