Foxhall Cup Names Gail Mobley Executive Director

ATLANTA, GAJanuary 14, 2002MBNA Foxhall Cup, the National
Championship of Eventing, announced today that Gail D. Mobley has been
named
Executive Director of the three-star level eventing competition. Featuring
dressage, cross-country and show jumping, the MBNA Foxhall Cup returns
to
Foxhall Farm, Douglasville, GA, April 18-21, 2002.
Mobley brings extensive expertise in equestrian organizations,
business management and charitable work to the MBNA Foxhall Cup. She was
a
founding member of Equestrian Events, Inc., the non-profit organization
behind the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, one of the top three eventing
competitions in the world. During her eight years with Equestrian Events,
Inc., Mobley served as Secretary, Vice-President, and President/
Chairperson.
Mobley was a founding board member of the Kentucky Horse Park Education
Foundation, where she spearheaded the startup of the annual fundraiser
for
the Park called the Carousel Ball. She also chaired the High Hope
Steeplechase in cooperation with the Children's Cancer Research Center.
Mobley, whose real estate sales and marketing talents have made her a
much-recruited leader in the marketing of exclusive and high-end properties,
also boasts an impressive record in charitable fundraising. For many years,
she co-chaired the International Red Cross Polo Luncheon and served as
a
committee member, and was Chairperson of the Saratoga Springs Hospital
Gala.
Mobley, also, co-chaired the Weekend in Old Saratoga annual
gala to raise
funds for the New Bolton Center at the University of Pennsylvania School
of
Veterinary Medicine.

Established in 2000 by Jim Richards, the MBNA Foxhall Cup is held in Douglasville,
Georgia every spring. The three-star level Eventing competition featuring
Dressage, Cross-Country and Show Jumping, is designated as the National
Championship of Eventing. The Cup is only one of two three-star level
Eventing competitions in the nation and hopes to increase spectator interest
in the sport. Foxhall Farm is used for a multitude of events such as the
last 2000 U.S. qualifying spot for the Sydney Olympics and for the annual
Derby Day celebration. The MBNA Foxhall Cup donates a portion of its profits
to the Shepherd Center, an Atlanta-based catastrophic care hospital that
treats individuals with acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. MBNA
