The
staff at USA Equestrian has compiled news from the USA Equestrian
breed and discipline meetings and EQUESTRIAN magazine managing
editor, Brian Sosby, has filed daily reports of activities. In
addition to the many committee meetings were informative sessions
including the League of Agriculture and Equine Center's forum
entitled, "How Can We Help You?", and meetings of the
International Andalusian/Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) Board
of Directors and the American Connemara Pony Society Board of
Governors. Re-live the awards dinners and receptions through both
editorial and pictorial coverage, including the Performance Horse
Registry's (PHR) Silver Stirrup Awards, the Pegasus Awards Dinner
and the much anticipated Horse of the Year Awards Banquet. See
David O'Connor receive his second Equestrian of the Year award
in just three years and Ned and Nina Bonnie receive the Jimmy
A. Williams Trophy for Lifetime Achievement.

Equestrian Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the
U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship
sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show
jumping, and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines
of equestrian competition. As
the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation
has over 80,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions
nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including
educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates
who officiate at these shows.
