British
Horse Society chief executive takes on new challenge |
After
three years as Chief Executive of The British Horse Society (BHS),
Kay Driver is moving on to lead another animal charity and will
leave the BHS at the end of March.
During
Kay's time in office the BHS has seen a marked turnaround in its
financial position, begun to replenish reserves, seen membership
grow sharply and raised its national political profile and influence.
Mrs
Driver said, "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the BHS
and was fortunate to work with a forward-looking Chairman and Trustees.
We have an effective staff team and have invested in new services
for members. The invitation to move north of the Border and lead
the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is
exciting and challenging. I look forward to building on current
friendships and making new ones in delivering this important role."
