Highlights for Reiners: Shows in Bremen and Dortmund now approved
as CRIs (FEI Reining)
The International western shows at Bremen and Dortmund are now even
more interesting for reining competitors. Yesterday, Michael Stone
(FEI) approved both shows as "Concours Reining International"
CRI Cat. B. This means the 'Triple Crown' in reining for these two
shows. Besides the NRHA Lawson Bronze Trophy and the qualification
for the German Championship Reining (FN), Bremen and Dortmund now
offer the chance of qualifying for the $ 100.000,-- World Reining
Masters 2004 in Oklahoma City.
As
already reported, there will be a World Reining Masters for the
first time this year. This super event was created to find the best
individual reining rider of the world. It will take place annually
from now on, alternating between the U.S.A. and Europe. This year,
the finals will take place during the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma. Each country sends its best reining rider, meaning
the one with the largest prize money. Competitors must qualify in
their countries in international FEI events, called CRIs. Those
countries which came into the WEG 2002 finals are allowed to send
two riders each (USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany and Italy).
The
first two CRIs will be in Bremen and Dortmund now. Both shows are
therefore qualifying shows for the World Reining Masters. All international
NFs have been invited.
