World First For Horse Temperature Reading

In a first for the horse world, the whole experience of taking horse’s temperature will now be much less stressful for animal, owner and vet. This ground-breaking development is thanks to the launch of a new implantable biosensor from the makers of Identichip, the market leading animal microchip.

The launch of Identichip with Bio-Thermo is the most significant development to animal microchips since they were first introduced in 1989. Instead of using traditional rectal mercury thermometers, which can cause stress and discomfort to the horse, vets are now turning to the new chip, as it combines unique animal identification technology with a temperature reading biosensor giving highly accurate results, simply and easily.

As the UK’s leading animal microchipping brand, Identichip has over one million registered animals and there are already over 4000 Identichip readers in use throughout the UK, which vets are simply reprogramming to provide a temperature reading at the press of a button.

For a small fee, most horses can be painlessly injected with Identichip with Bio-Thermo. This revolutionary breakthrough means the experience of taking a horse’s temperature will now be much easier for vets and far less distressing for animals and their owners. As well as benefiting vets who have to handle difficult or agitated animals, the new chip is ideal for situations where ongoing daily temperature monitoring is needed.

Identichip with Bio-Thermo is available throughout the UK from any vet practice. Ask your local vet for more information.
