C Spear To Play Brigadoon In Key Ylvisaker Cup Action

WELLINGTON,
Florida American 10-goaler Adam Snow leads Brigadoon against
C Spear in a key Ylvisaker Cup polo match Sunday at 3 p.m. at International
Polo Club Palm Beach.
Both
teams need a victory to remain in the running for a playoff spot.
In its last game, Brigadoon (1-1) lost in overtime while C Spear
(1-1) won its game in the final 11 seconds. Both are chasing Black
Watch, which leads Division I with a 2-0 record.
Joining
Snow are 7-goaler Tiger Kneece of Aiken, South Carolina, 5-goaler
Brian Prichard of Loxahatchee and patron Christine Cato of Charlotte,
North Carolina. Brigadoon reached the semifinals of the first 22-goal
tournament.
C Spear is led by Argentine 9-goalers Paco de Narvaez and Matias
Magrini. They are joined by 2-goaler Weston Gracida, Ruben Gracidas
son, and patron Tommy Boyle of Wyoming.
The
Ylvisaker Cup in named in honor of William T. Bill Ylvisaker,
a polo pioneer who founded Palm Beach Polo and Country Club in the
late 1970s and was elected into the Polo Hall of Fame in 1996. Ylvisaker
has won numerous major polo tournaments, including the prestigious
U.S. Open in 1972.

International
Polo Club Palm Beach is located at 3667 120th Avenue South in Wellington.
From I-95, take the Forest Hill Boulevard exit and go west approximately
12 miles. Turn left onto South Shore Boulevard and go two miles.
Turn left onto Pierson Road, travel about one mile and then make
a right onto 120th Avenue South. The club is on the right. From
Floridas Turnpike, take Exit 93 (Lake Worth Road) and go west
about six miles. Make a right onto 120th Avenue South. The club
is on the left.
