The 26th Elite Foal Auction in Verden, Germany had a record number of foals (147) setting a new record high price of DM 60,000 and a record average price of DM 12,122. Thirteen foals were exported to the US.

In 2000, the American Hanoverian Society registered about 550 foals, inspected 213 mares, 21 mares had Inspection scores over 7.0 and following the Mare Performance Tests, three mares achieved Elite Mare status and nine became Elite Mare candidates.
